Issued by NWS Denver/Boulder, CO
518 FNUS55 KBOU 051044 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 444 AM MDT Fri Jul 5 2024 .DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Conditions will be similar to yesterday`s, with a little less wind in the mountain valleys. It will be warm with low humidities and some afternoon breeziness, but critical fire weather conditions are not expected. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be limited to the northeast corner of Colorado, with little or no shower activity further west. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday... Each day during the long term period will have isolated showers and storms with light rainfall. The exception will be Sunday when more widespread storms will form. The day during the extended with the worst fire weather conditions will be Saturday. The foothills and mountain valleys will have minimum relative humidity drop to the teens with gusts up to 25 mph which will lead to elevated fire weather conditions. Sunday will be cooler and wetter reducing fire weather concerns. Temperatures will slowly increase throughout next work week. This will decrease minimum relative humidity but with winds being so light, no critical fire weather conditions are expected. Smoke dispersal will be very good to excellent all days. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds... ...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds... ...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid... ...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone groups and may not match the actual forecast values shown in those groups...
