For the rest of Independence Day, expect scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms across the region, with perhaps an
isolated severe storm over southern Minnesota. Overnight lows will
range from the upper 40s in the Black Hills to the lower 60s in
southern Minnesota. The weekend will then see isolated to
scattered thunderstorms at times, with high temperatures remaining
in the 70s to lower 80s.

A warming and drying trend is expected for next week, as a dome
of upper level high pressure develops slowly east across the
western United States into the Rockies.
