...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SULLIVAN...
SOUTHEASTERN WAYNE AND PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 159 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Paupack, or 9 miles south of Honesdale, moving east at 25 mph. Other
clusters of thunderstorms were developing elsewhere in northern Pike
County.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lackawaxen, Blooming Grove, Paupack, Shohola, Matamoras, Hawley,
Milford, Greentown, Ledgerdale, and Oakland.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 84 between 20 and 53.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
central New York...and northeastern Pennsylvania.
