...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN BROOME...SOUTHEASTERN
TIOGA...SUSQUEHANNA AND BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 945 AM EDT...

At 908 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Vestal Center to near Rome to near
Sylvania. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott, Kirkwood, Sayre, Conklin,
Rush, Jackson, and Athens.

This includes the following highway exits...
 New York Interstate 81 between 1 and 2 West.
 Interstate 86/Route 17 near 61, near 66, and between 75 and 82.
 Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 217 and 230.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
