...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SULLIVAN COUNTY
THROUGH NOON EDT...

At 1132 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Haven, or 8 miles northwest of Middletown, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Monticello, South Fallsburg, Wurtsboro, Woodridge, Bloomingburg,
Haven, Phillipsport, Kiamesha, Rock Hill, and Highview.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 86/Route 17 between 104 and 114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
central New York.
