...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SULLIVAN AND
CENTRAL PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH NOON EDT...

At 1133 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Greeley, or 11 miles northwest of Montague, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Shohola, Matamoras, Milford, Greeley, Millrift, Glen Spey, Mongaup
Valley Wildlife Area, Twin Lakes, Barryville, and Rowland.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 84 between 34 and 53.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
central New York...and northeastern Pennsylvania.
