...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL HERKIMER COUNTY
THROUGH 545 AM EDT...

At 512 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southwest of Star Lake, or 24 miles northwest of Old Forge,
moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central
Herkimer County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
