Spot Forecast for Cribby Creek #201...AK DOF
National Weather Service ANCHORAGE AK
303 PM AKDT Fri Jun 28 2024

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1600 AKDT on June 28.
.DISCUSSION...

A weak and transient ridge of higher pressure will remain over
interior Southwest Alaska through tonight. Clouds underneath the
ridge will be reluctant to diminish this afternoon and evening;
however, a few breaks of sun are possible. Generally light
southerly winds of around 10 mph will persist through the
overnight hours before diminishing. A weak upper-level wave will
move over interior Southwest Alaska from the south overnight. This
wave will allow for the development of additional cloud cover
along with scattered showers. The wave quickly lifts northwest
Saturday morning, decreasing the chance for showers and allowing
cloud cover to slowly diminish. The strongest winds with this
system are expected to remain south of the area, with only light
and variable winds over the forecast area for Saturday.
Temperatures tomorrow may be slightly warmer with min RH values
slightly lower than today, but that will be dependent on how much
cloud cover diminishes by late Saturday afternoon / evening.
