...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN CORSON...WESTERN CAMPBELL
AND NORTHWESTERN WALWORTH COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM CDT/430 PM MDT/...

At 456 PM CDT/356 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles south of Fort Yates
to 7 miles south of Grand River Casino. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mobridge, Wakpala, Pollock, Kenel, Glenham, Indian Memorial Rec Area,
Mahto, Revheim Bay Rec Area, Grand River Casino, Indian Creek Rec
Area, and Trail City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Aberdeen.

If on or near the Missouri River, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT/800 PM
MDT/ for north central South Dakota.
