...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT JONES AND SOUTHWESTERN STANLEY
COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM CDT...

At 556 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Chantier Creek Recreation
Area to 7 miles north of Okaton to near Corn Creek. Movement was east
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Murdo, Okaton, Capa, Van Metre, Brown Church, Bunker, Hayes, West
Shore Rec Area, Wendte, and Chantier Creek Recreation Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Aberdeen.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
central South Dakota.
