.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will settle in over the region today and tonight,
before gradually sliding east of the area on Sunday. No
precipitation is expected during this time. Look for southeast winds
to increase on Sunday, with central South Dakota possibly seeing
gusts in excess of 40 mph. Minimum relative humidity values this
afternoon will be in the 40 to 55 percent range.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
