...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY THROUGH 345
PM MDT...

At 314 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms along a line
extending from 8 miles northwest of Roswell to 9 miles north of
Artesia. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge, Lake Arthur,
Greenfield, Roswell Correctional Facility, and Midway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Blowing dust associated with thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibilities below one quarter mile at times.
