...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SOCORRO COUNTY
THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 539 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 20 miles east of Monticello to 21 miles north
of Engle to 27 miles south of Bosque Del Apache Refuge. Movement was
north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Socorro County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor your preferred
media outlets and NOAA Weather Radio for additional information and
possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
