...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY
THROUGH 345 PM MDT...

At 308 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Magdalena, or 16 miles west of Socorro. This storm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Socorro and Magdalena.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Heavy rains will cause water to pond on roads and in low spots. Fast
running water will quickly fill arroyos and ditches.
