...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN UNION AND
NORTHEASTERN COLFAX COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM MDT...

At 344 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Folsom, or 11 miles northwest of Des Moines, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Des Moines and Folsom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
