...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CIBOLA AND
NORTHWESTERN CATRON COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM MDT...

At 348 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles southeast of Fence Lake, or 40 miles southeast of Zuni Pueblo,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fence Lake, Quemado, Omega, Salt Lake, Quemado Lake, and Red Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this
storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Heavy rains will cause water to pond on roads and in low spots. Fast
running water will quickly fill arroyos and ditches.
