...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast New Mexico, including the following
  county, southeastern Chaves.

* WHEN...Until 1245 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1044 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - This rainfall is occurring over an area near Dexter and
    Hagerman that already experienced flooding today. This
    rainfall may exacerbate current conditions there.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dexter, Hagerman and Greenfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
