...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM MDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast New Mexico, including the following
  counties, southeastern Colfax, northwestern Harding, southeastern
  Mora, north central San Miguel and west central Union.

* WHEN...Until 630 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 333 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Roy, Chicosa Lake State Park, Solano, Mills and Yates.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
