Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow in the West; Severe Thunderstorms Across the Upper Ohio Valley and Southern New England

Gusty winds, high elevation snow and valley rain continues to impact portions of California and the Pacific Northwest. Isolated instances of flash flooding may be possible. Widespread severe thunderstorms will develop across the Upper Ohio Valley into southern New England Sunday. The main threats will be damaging winds however, large hail and a few tornadoes can’t be ruled out.

Tonight: Wind west 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots. Wind waves around 3 feet in the evening...becoming 2 feet or less. Swell west 4 to 5 feet at 11 seconds. A slight chance of showers in the evening.

Monday: Wind west 10 knots with gusts to 15 knots. Wind waves around 2 feet or less...becoming 3 feet in the afternoon. Swell west 3 to 5 feet at 9 seconds.

Monday Night: Wind northwest 10 knots with gusts to 15 knots in the evening...becoming variable less than 10 knots. Wind waves around 2 feet or less. Swell west 3 to 4 feet at 8 seconds.
