Heavy Mountain Snow and High Winds Shifts into the Intermountain West and Plains

A storm system will move bring heavy mountain snow and high winds to the Intermountain West and the Plains. Locally heavy rain from a nearly stalled front on the southern California coastline could cause flash flooding. A new storm will drop south along the West Coast and is expected to bring additional heavy mountain snow, especially, in California.

Fri Night: Northern portion, S wind 30 kt. Brookings southward, SE wind 30 kt...easing to 15 to 25 kt after midnight. Wind waves 7 to 10 ft. Swell W 6 to 7 ft at 10 seconds. Chance of rain.
