Beta Bringing Heavy Rainfall to Texas and Louisiana; Dangerous Rip Currents Along the East Coast

Beta will continue to bring heavy rainfall and flooding to parts of Texas and Louisiana, with areas of rainfall also gradually spreading across the Southeast. Elsewhere, Hurricane Teddy will remain in the Atlantic, but bring dangerous rip currents, high surf, and swells to much of the East Coast. A low pressure system in the northeastern Pacific will bring rainfall to the Northwest by Wednesday.

Wednesday: Variable wind less than 10 knots becoming northeast less than 10 knots late. Mostly sunny. Waves calm to 1 foot.

Wednesday Night: Northeast wind 5 to 15 knots. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Waves building to 1 to 2 feet.

Thursday: East wind 5 to 15 knots. Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers through early afternoon, then a slight chance of showers by mid afternoon. Waves building to 2 to 3 feet, then subsiding to 1 to 2 feet.
