Flooding Concerns in Puerto Rico; Thunderstorms Across the Southeast U.S.

Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing widespread heavy rainfall will be possible across much of Puerto Rico today. Heavy rainfall will likely lead to flash, urban and small stream flooding. Some areas may face life-threatening flooding. In the Southeast U.S., strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon.

Rest Of Today: West winds 10 to 15 knots. A chance of rain late in the morning. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet late in the afternoon.

Tonight: West winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

Saturday: West winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet.

Saturday Night: West winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots in the late evening and overnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

Sunday: West winds 10 to 15 knots veering to the northwest late in the evening. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.

Monday: Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots veering to the east in the late morning and early afternoon...then becoming southeast 10 to 15 knots early in the evening veering to the south in the late evening and early morning. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.

Tuesday: South winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots until early evening...then veering to the northwest with gusts to around 30 knots in the late evening and early morning. Showers until early evening. A chance of showers in the late evening and early morning. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
