High Winds and Blizzard Conditions in the Central U.S.; Critical Fire Weather in Southern California
A powerful winter storm will continue to bring widespread impacts to the central U.S. today. Blizzard conditions will continue across portions of the east-central and northern Plains while high winds to 65 mph will continue over portions of the west-central and northern Plains into this evening. Gusty offshore winds will drive several days of critical fire weather in southern California.

|Tonight: South winds 5 to 10 knots. A chance of snow and rain showers early, then a slight chance of snow and rain showers late this evening. A slight chance of snow showers after midnight. Waves 1 foot or less. |
Saturday: South winds 5 to 15 knots becoming west. A slight chance of snow showers in the morning, then a chance of snow showers with a slight chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Waves 2 feet or less.
Saturday Night: West winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots. A chance of snow showers in the evening, then a chance of rain showers overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 3 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 7 feet.
Sunday: West winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest. A chance of rain and snow showers. Waves 3 to 6 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet.
