Widespread gusty winds combined with dry conditions will support elevated to critical fire weather concerns across eastern New Mexico and much of the southern High Plains today; Critical fire weather conditions are also forecast in Guam. Later this evening, an Atmospheric River event will produce moderate to locally heavy rainfall over central and southern California through Saturday.

Saturday Night: South winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest. A chance of rain showers. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet.

Sunday: Northwest winds 5 to 15 knots becoming east. A chance of rain showers sunday night. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
