Severe Weather and Flooding in the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic; Winter Storm in Alaska; Heavy Rains in Hawaii

Severe thunderstorms may produce a few tornadoes, scattered damaging winds, isolated severe hail, and flash flooding across the upper Ohio River Valley and parts of the Appalachians tonight. A strong storm in western Alaska continues to produce heavy snow, strong winds, and blizzard conditions into the mainland. Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms may cause flash flooding in northern Hawaii.

Saturday: Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming east 5 to 10 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet with a dominant period of 7 seconds. Protected waters a moderate chop.

Saturday Night: West winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming northwest after midnight. Seas around 2 feet with a dominant period of 8 seconds. Protected waters a light chop.
