High Winds and Blizzard Conditions in the Central U.S.; Critical Fire Weather in Southern California

A powerful winter storm will continue to bring widespread impacts to the central U.S. today. Blizzard conditions will continue across portions of the east-central and northern Plains while high winds to 65 mph will continue over portions of the west-central and northern Plains into this evening. Saturday: Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet. Period 7 seconds. Bay and inland waters choppy in exposed areas.

Saturday Night: North winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet. Period 8 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Sunday: Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Period 8 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Sunday Night: West northwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop.
