Severe Thunderstorms Possible From The Plains To The Great Lakes, Heat Wave To Continue Over The Southern U.S.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds, large hail, isolated tornadoes, and heavy rainfall will be possible through tonight from the central Plains to the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. The heavy rainfall could lead to localized flash flooding. Excessive heat will persist across the southern Plains and Desert Southwest early this week.
