Excessive Heat Continues today for Portions of Central and Eastern U.S.; Change in Weather Pattern this Week

Dangerous heat and humidity continues today from portions of the Plains to the East Coast. A cold front will bring lower temperatures, and potential for strong to severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and heavy rain that could produce flash flooding to the Central and Eastern U.S. through early this week. High pressure shifts West this week with building heat and monsoonal moisture.
