Severe Weather and Flooding Expected Across Parts of the South into the Ohio Valley

Widespread heavy rain and flash flooding is possible across the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley through Friday night along a slow-moving cold front. South of this front will be a severe weather threat from the Southern Plains, the Mid-South, and Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley. Chilly temperatures and heavy mountain snowfall will persist for parts of the West.

Sat: Winds S SE winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts to around 25 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Sat Night: Along the coast, S SE winds 15 to 20 kt becoming 5 to 10 kt after midnight. In the gulf stream, S SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 25 kt in the evening. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.
