As a potent winter storm moves off the coast of New England, heavy snow will be possible in its wake downwind of the eastern Great Lakes through Monday night and into Tuesday. A quick-hitting winter storm will bring strong winds and snow to the northern Plains and Upper Great Lakes Tuesday. Strong winds and dry conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions in the southern Plains.
