Heavy Precipitation Continues for the Northwest; Warmer Temperatures for the Center of the Nation

Atmospheric river of heavy precipitation, strong winds and high surf continues for the Northwest portion of the country. Meanwhile, warming temperatures are expected for the center of the nation where several record highs are in the forecast. Looking ahead into the weekend, a strong cold front is expected to sweep through the eastern two-thirds of the country with heavy rain and thunderstorms.
