Smokey Conditions Linger in the East

Lingering smoke continues to impact air quality in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley. An overall pattern change should bring improving conditions this weekend. Heavy rain may cause flooding for parts of the Northwest and North Plains, especially in central Montana. Isolated severe storms may produce large hail and damaging winds across parts of the south Plains.
