Moisture interacting with a stalled front will bring rain, locally heavy, to the Southeast today and Friday. Some rain could be heavy enough for flash flooding. A storm system is expected to develop just offshore of the Carolinas late Friday and shift north off the East Coast. Gusty winds, rough surf and coastal flooding will be possible along the East Coast. A wintery mix may reach New England.
