Synopsis: High pressure will extend across the Florida peninsula with weak troughs meandering across the southeast region through Wednesday. This pattern will continue generally southwesterly flow during the night and morning hours, then winds switch to south-southeast in the afternoon and evening with the east coast sea breeze. Prevailing winds transition to south-southeast Thursday into the weekend as high pressure builds north and extends over southeast Gulf Coast states. Daily showers and thunderstorms are expected over the waters.
