Synopsis: As of 830am Tuesday a storm force low is developing near fifty
eight north, one forty two west, quickly moving north into the
Gulf of Alaska. This low is expected to reach the Fairweather
grounds by 1 am Wednesday. Most concerning is the broad fetch of
southerly storm force winds on the eastern flank of this storm,
generating 35 ft seas. For the inner channels of Southeast
Alaska, winds will continue to increase through Tuesday
afternoon, reaching peak intensity through Wednesday morning.
Mariners should make ready for southeasterly gale force winds,
with storm force in some larger passages.
