Synopsis: High pressure resides in the Gulf, which will persist through Thursday night before a low moves up the Alaska Peninsula and into the Western Gulf by Friday morning. This low is not expected to move inland, but will cause an increase in winds within the central Gulf and south of the Panhandle, from Cape Decision towards Dixon Entrance. High pressure again dominates the Gulf at the start of the weekend.
