Heavy Snow for the Northern Rockies & Northern Plains; Critical Fire Weather Conditions for Parts of the West
A storm system will bring heavy snow and gusty winds from the northern Rockies to the northern Plains this weekend, along with bitterly cold temperatures. Meanwhile, dry and gusty conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions over parts of California and the Four Corners region. A cold front in the East will bring scattered showers and storms with cool temperatures for the Northeast.

northwestern AZ. A 1040 mb high over Montana will build into the
Great Basin tonight and Monday. Gale force northeast winds are
expected very late tonight and Monday across the inner waters off
of southern Ventura, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties and across the
southern outer waters.
