Widespread heavy rain and flash flooding is possible across the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley through Friday night along a slow-moving cold front. South of this front will be a severe weather threat from the Southern Plains, the Mid-South, and Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley. A mainly dry cold front is moving across the coastal waters and
bays this evening, resulting in gusty northwest winds. Moderate
period northwest swell moves in over the weekend. A low pressure
system will develop over the eastern Pacific bringing rain and
wind to coastal waters and bays from early to mid next week.
