Significant Winter Storm to Affect the Pacific Coast through the Upper Midwest
A significant storm will bring high winds and heavy precipitation, including mountain snow, to portions of the western U.S. this weekend. Extremely dangerous travel is expected through passes. Confidence is increasing that this storm will then impact the central U.S. with heavy snow and strong winds to the north and severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes and heavy rainfall to the south.
