A series of cold fronts will produce showers and a few strong thunderstorms across parts of the High Plains and into the northern Rockies, and the Mid-Atlantic. Strong, dry winds in the northern Plains, 4-Corners area, and the Southeast will produce elevated fire weather threats. Locally heavy rain may cause flash flooding in Hawaii.

Synopsis: Low pressure and its associated cold front will pass through the area this afternoon. Another trough of low pressure will cross the area Saturday. High pressure will briefly return Saturday night before another low pressure system nears the area Sunday into Monday. A Small Craft Advisory will likely be needed for portions of the waters Saturday evening and again Sunday night and Monday.

WNW wind 10 to 13 kt increasing to 13 to 16 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers, mainly before 2pm. Seas 1 to 2 ft.
