Pacific Storm Brings Multiple Impacts to the West;Severe Weather Expected in the Central U.S.

A strong storm is expected to produce heavy rainfall in northern and central California that could lead to significant and life-threatening flash floods and mudslides, particularly over burn scar areas, and periods of heavy snow and gusty winds from the Cascades and Sierra into the Intermountain West through Monday. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall expected in the Mid-Mississippi Valley.
