Synopsis: A weak barrier jet continues from Cape St. Elias to Icy Bay. By
early Thursday, a strong system will impact the Gulf and coastal
waters, bringing strong gales to storm force winds for the outer
waters and near gale to gale force winds for much of the inner
waters. A trailing wave on the frontal band moving through will
bring winds back up over the southern Panhandle overnight
Thursday into Friday morning while speeds relax over much of the
northern Gulf of Alaska.

SE wind 25 to 30 kt, with gusts as high as 45 kt. Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Seas 9 ft building to 13 ft.
Tonight
SSE wind 30 to 35 kt, with gusts as high as 50 kt. Rain. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Seas 13 to 14 ft.
Friday
S wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 35 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 7 ft subsiding to 3 ft.
