Eastern and Western Storms

A strong cold front will sweep across the eastern U.S. with gusty winds, showers and thunderstorms, and lake effect snow. A slow moving western system will bring locally heavy rain that could cause flash flooding and heavy mountain snow. Heavy snow and blowing snow is expected across much of the northern 2/3rds of Alaska from two strong weather systems.
