Coastal Storm Drifts Away From Southeast and Mid-Atlantic; Fire Weather Concerns Remain In Southern California

A strong storm is forecast to drift away from coastal sections of the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic today but a number of hazards remain in effect, from gusty winds to a variety of marine issues. The storm will bypass the Northeast on Monday, while producing coastal rain and interior frozen precipitation. Meanwhile, elevated to critical fire weather threats remain in effect across southern California.

Synopsis: PZZ100-172000- 247 AM PST Sun Nov 17 2019 .Synopsis for the northern and central Washington coastal and inland waters...A strong frontal system will continue to bring Small Craft Advisory winds to the coastal waters through the remainder of the overnight hours and to the inland waters throughout the day today. This system will slowly weaken as it shifts through the region today. Seas will remain within a 9 to 12 ft range. Another system will arrive early next week. Offshore flow will prevail through the latter half of next week. $$
