Synopsis: A strong surface low west of the coastal waters will continue to weaken and move towards Vancouver Island tonight. The low will move inland over Northern Vancouver Island late in the afternoon. Front associated with the low moving through the interior waters this afternoon. A weaker system will arrive Tuesday with another system Thursday.

SW wind around 50 km/h, with gusts as high as 65 km/h. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. WSW swell 5 ft at 14 seconds. Wind waves around 2 m.
Tonight
SW wind 45 to 50 km/h decreasing to 34 to 39 km/h after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 65 km/h. Showers and thunderstorms likely before 1am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 2am, then showers after 2am. W swell 4 to 5 ft at 14 seconds. Wind waves 1 to 2 m.
Tuesday
S wind 27 to 32 km/h becoming WSW 35 to 40 km/h in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 55 km/h. Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then rain likely between 4pm and 5pm, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. WSW swell 3 to 4 ft at 13 seconds. Wind waves around 1 m.
