Strong Cold Front Pushing Through the East; Frigid Air Returns To Upper Midwest

A strong cold front will push through the East to produce a number of hazards: heavy to excessive rainfall especially from D.C. to Boston, strong to severe storms in Florida, some snow in New England and gusty winds. Meanwhile, a clipper cold front will sweep through the Midwest and plunge through the Plains to deliver a fresh arctic air mass with frigid temperatures and bitterly cold wind chills.
