Heavy Rains and Severe Weather Expected Across the Southern Plains into the Ohio Valley

A nearly stationary frontal boundary will bring potential for heavy rainfall and flash flooding from Oklahoma into the Ohio River Valley over the next few days. Severe weather is also expected for parts the Southern Plains and the Lower Mississippi River Valley on Thursday and Friday with threats of tornadoes, strong winds and hail. Snow is expected for parts of the Cascades and Northern Rockies.

Synopsis: ANZ300-232015- 327 AM EDT Thu Mar 23 2023 .Synopsis for the Long Island and Connecticut coastal waters... Low pressure north of the Great Lakes tracks across eastern Canada today and will send a cold front through the area tonight. The cold front stalls to our south on Friday as high pressure briefly noses down from eastern Canada. The aforementioned stalled front lifts north as a warm front Saturday. Low pressure developing along the warm front moves across Saturday night. High pressure then builds in from the north and west for Sunday into Monday. High pressure departs Monday night. $$
