Synopsis...HIGH PRESSURE EAST OF NEW ENGLAND WILL SLOWLY MOVE FURTHER OFFSHORE TODAY. A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND CROSSES THE WATERS LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE WEST ON WEDNESDAY, THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON FRIDAY.

This Afternoon: S wind around 10 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: S wind 10 to 12 kt, with gusts as high as 22 kt. Partly cloudy. Seas around 1 ft.

Wednesday: SSW wind 10 to 13 kt becoming WNW 15 to 18 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers between 8am and 2pm. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Wednesday Night: WNW wind 13 to 18 kt becoming N after midnight. Mostly clear. Seas around 2 ft.

Thursday: N wind 8 to 13 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the morning. Sunny. Seas around 1 ft.

Thursday Night: S wind 5 to 8 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt after midnight. Clear. Seas 1 ft or less.
