Synopsis...HIGH PRESSURE EAST OF NEW ENGLAND WILL SLOWLY MOVE FURTHER OFFSHORE TODAY. A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND CROSSES THE WATERS LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE WEST ON WEDNESDAY, THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON FRIDAY.

Late Afternoon: NNW wind around 10 kt. Rain. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: NNW wind 11 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 25 kt. Rain, mainly before 2am. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday: NW wind 14 to 18 kt, with gusts as high as 26 kt. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday Night: WNW wind 13 to 18 kt, with gusts as high as 27 kt. Mostly clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: W wind 19 to 22 kt decreasing to 15 to 18 kt in the morning. Mostly sunny. Seas around 1 ft.

Saturday Night: WSW wind 11 to 14 kt decreasing to 6 to 9 kt after midnight. Mostly cloudy. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday: WNW wind 7 to 12 kt, with gusts as high as 19 kt. Partly sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday Night: NW wind 9 to 12 kt becoming NNW 6 to 9 kt in the evening. Mostly cloudy. Seas 1 ft or less.
