A developing storm across the Southern Plains is forecast to bring severe weather that includes large hail and damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall that could result in flash flooding across portions of the Plains and Mississippi Valley. The effects of this storm will continue through the middle of this week. The Four Corners area will continue to see elevated to critical fire weather conditions.

High pressure remains off the southeast coast through early this week. A cold front drops across the area early this morning, stalling south of the area through late today through midweek, before returning north across the area as a warm front Wednesday night.
